The ten week summer program includes:
- an intensive research experience for students
- research discussion groups
- interdisciplinary research workshops for writing and presentation skills
- research seminars
- social activities.
BDSI, BioConnect, & RARE students will be presenting their Summer research projects through oral presentations and poster presentations
RARE students will come to Lehigh for a 2-week* “camp” prior to regular orientation that will be organized in cooperation with the Office of the First Year Experience, the Office for Academic Outreach, and STEM faculty. The program will include introductions to life science, including responsible conduct of research, safety, the laboratory environment, the research enterprise, exposure to primary literature, information technologies; sessions addressing campus culture, academics, resources, and support services; and social activities. Students participating in the pre-orientation camp will receive a stipend.
*For the 2017-2018 academic year, the camp will begin on August 13, 2017 .
Immediately following Dr. Clifford Brangwynne's seminar entitled: RNA/Protein Liquids: Lighting up intracellular phase space, Students and Faculty Fellows are invited to have dinner with the speaker and have questions answered and learn more about the professors back ground.
